Alegría Gri Gri is a non-profit organization aimed at improving the lives of people in Río San Juan, Dominican Republic. Formed in 1998, it has grown into an international foundation that hosts a multitude of construction projects, clothing drives, community events and fundraisers with the goal of giving back to this extraordinary community.
Through donations and pledges from people in the United States and abroad, we can make sure that the people of Río San Juan are able to preserve their simple and happy way of life without worry.

Río San Juan is a community on the northeastern shore of the Dominican Republic. With a population of 17,000, the town depends largely on the local fishing and livestock industries in just about every way of life. The people’s commitment to community makes for a friendly environment, even in the most trying of times. With your donations and volunteerism, you can help to preserve and strengthen the community of Río San Juan for years to come.
